SFH Fischer

New construction of a single-family house on an exposed hillside location.

This parcel is located on a southwest facing slope of the Bruderholz, with a view of the Leimental. Because of the steepness of the property as well as setback and other building code requirements, no horizontal exterior areas were allowed. This led to the concept of locating the living and patio areas on the upper entry level and placing the bedrooms and storage areas on the lower level.

A continuous terrace and the open floor plan combine living, dining, kitchen and service areas on one light-flooded level. The volumetric shapes of the barrel-vault roof are strikingly illuminated at night.
