DANIEL MÜLLER is a professor in Industrial Ecology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He received a M.Sc. in rural engineering and a Ph.D. in technical sciences from ETH Zurich. Prior to his appointment at NTNU, he was a post-doc at TU Delft and an associate research scientist at Yale University. He was a lead author of the Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), WG III (Mitigation). He served as a Council member of the International Society for Industrial Ecology (ISIE), and co-founded the ISIE section “Socio-Economic Metabolism”). He was a member of the steering committee of the Swiss National Research Programme 65 'New Urban Quality'.
