Carlo Ratti is an Italian architect and engineer. He teaches as a professor at MIT, where he heads the Senseable City Lab. He is also a founding partner of the international design and innovation office Carlo Ratti Associati. A graduate of the Politecnico di Torino and the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris, he also holds an M.Phil. degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, UK.
