Spatial planning and architecture in the 2nd machine age - an attempt at rapprochement

Hans-Georg Bächtold is a forest engineer and spatial planner ETH/SIA. After working in research and teaching - including at the ETH - he successfully managed the engineering office Oekogeo AG in Schaffhausen. From 1998, he was head of the Basel-Landschaft Cantonal Planning Office. He has been Managing Director of the SIA since 2009.
