Y.ESCAPE - Integrative living space concepts for all

Ruth Berktold is an architect and owner of YES Architecture in Munich and New York. She studied at the University of Stuttgart and the Städelschule Frankfurt. She also completed a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design at Columbia University, NY. She then worked for nine years at various architecture bureaus in New York, including Bernard Tschumi, Polshek Partnership and Asymptote, before setting up her own practice in Munich in June 2002. She took up her first professorship at the Rensselaer Politechnic Institute in Troy, NY and simultaneously taught at the Parsons School of Design in New York. Since April 2003, she has been Professor of CAX and Design at the Munich University of Applied Sciences.
