Beat Presser
BEAT PRESSER was born in Basel in 1952. He trained as a photographer and cameraman, was editor of a photo magazine and worked in an advertising agency. In 1981 he was employed as a camera assistant and still photographer for the film 'Fitzcarraldo' by Werner Herzog and in 1987 as a still photographer for the film 'Cobra Verde'. From 1990 he concentrated on classic black and white photography. Realisation of photo stories combined with long journeys and increasingly intensive exhibition activities. From the mid-90s, also in conjunction with worldwide guest professorships.
