Max Schwitalla
Max Schwitalla (Dipl.Arch.ETH/Architect) founded Studio Schwitalla, Berlin in 2012. He studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart and at ETH Zurich. He received his master's degree in architecture in 2006 and Studio Schwitalla has grown into a small, agile team of international designers, researchers and scientists: 'We enjoy blurring the boundaries between urban design and architecture, working between the two disciplines allows us to see cities as three-dimensional structures and buildings as urban environments. Future urban mobility is the driving passion at Studio Schwitalla. Research partners include multinational mobility experts such as Schindler Aufzüge AG and Audi AG.
Prior to Studio Schwitalla, he co-founded HENN StudioB in Berlin, where he was jointly responsible for the design of various large-scale projects in China and worked for Rem Koolhaas/OMA in Rotterdam and New York as well as for Graft in Berlin and Los Angeles. He was regularly active as a studio/seminar leader and guest critic at various universities.
