Parkour, urban locomotion
Roger Widmer, born in 1981, lives in Münsingen (BE) and is a parkour pioneer, design and art teacher, adult educator and goldsmith. The 'TRuST' teaching concept sets milestones in the development of parkour, a form of locomotion that aims to get from A to B efficiently using only the abilities of one's own body. The parkour runner determines his own path through urban or natural space and knows no obstacles. At the ParkourONE Academy, Widmer heads the first institution in the world where parkour according to TRuST is taught, researched and developed using a holistic approach. As Director of the ParkourONE Academy, he and his team have been tirelessly researching and developing a holistic understanding of parkour since 2006. Parkour according to TRuST serves as a tool for personal development, strengthening values and health promotion to promote immaterial prosperity.
