Space miracle for the neighbourhood: How the private affects the political
Daniel Fuhrhop was an architectural publisher when he realised that we should stop building. He was born in Paris in 1967, studied architecture in Berlin from 1989 and graduated with a degree in business administration. In 1998, Daniel Fuhrhop founded Stadtwandel Verlag and presented one dazzling new building after another in the 'Die Neuen Architekturführer' series. Over time, however, Fuhrhop became increasingly critical of new buildings and sold the publishing house in 2013. In 2015, his book 'Verbietet das Bauen' was published; he runs a blog of the same name. This was followed in 2016 by 'Willkommensstadt. Wo Flüchtlinge wohnen und Städte lebendig werden' followed in 2016 and 'Einfach anders wohnen' in 2018. Daniel Fuhrhop lives in Oldenburg. www.daniel-fuhrhop.de
