Scented scenery - the invisible architecture

Originally trained as a pharmaceutical assistant, Vero Kern came into contact with flavours and fragrances at an early age. In 1994, at the age of 54, after years of working for Swissair, she started her own business as a masseuse and aromatherapist. From 1998, she attended a series of courses at the Institut Cinquième Sens in Paris and qualified as a perfumer. In 2007, she presented her first perfume 'Kiki' under her label Vero Profumo, a perfume - like all subsequent fragrances - produced with meticulous craftsmanship, which met with a great response from experts. Vero Kern was also involved in the 'Wartezeiten' (Waiting Times) project at Bern University of the Arts, a project aimed at improving waiting situations in stressful places.
