Juhani Pallasmaa is a Finnish architect and architectural theorist who calls for architecture that speaks to all the senses. He ran his own architectural bureau from 1983 to 2012, served as director of the Museum of Finnish Architecture in Helsinki and is professor emeritus at the Helsinki University of Technology. Today he teaches as a visiting professor at various universities in the USA. Juhani Pallasmaa has published numerous books and essays. 'The Eyes of the Skin - Architecture and the Senses' has become a classic and worldwide standard textbook on architectural theory.
