The building at Förrlibuckstrasse 30, which was built in the 1980s and has been in continuous use ever since, was redesigned by Blaser Architekten with regard to its outdoor space. The owner commissioned us to optimize the outdoor space concept so that it offers tenants and public passers-by a tidy, attractive area that can be used at any time of day and in any weather.
As part of these adjustments, various areas were specifically improved. The pathway through the plot was designed to be safe and inviting for both residents and visitors by day and night. We have integrated wooden seating around the trees, while raised beds with additional seating create a pleasant atmosphere. A revised lighting concept with circular LED light rings also sets stylish accents and gives the space a sense of security. In addition, pergolas provide protection from the weather and privacy from the neighboring property.
The arcades, which were previously partially stepped, were straightened by concreting them up in order to create a clear boundary between the public space of the Passerelle and the inner courtyards, which were opened up by the demolition of wall panels. The “pulling out” of the access stairs in the Passerelle area significantly improves orientation on the site, and a new staircase accessible from all sides optimizes the entrance situation along Förrlibückstrasse. This will make it easier to find the address in future.
