Forest cabin

In July, forester Hitsch Rohner, eco-expert Deborah Marcandella, adventurer Liza Andrea Kuster, carpenter Michael Koller and our architect Christian W. Blaser built a sophisticated forest hut in the forest of Niederhelfenschwil SG in just three weeks. The programme, broadcast by 'SF Schweiz aktuell', was linked to the 'UN Year of Forests', so sustainability and energy efficiency, as well as living in and dealing with the forest during construction, were an important topic. The forest hut designed and built by Christian W. Blaser himself is the start and end point of a new educational forest trail.
