Credit Suisse Allschwil

On 28 November 2011, Credit Suisse opened its expanded branch on Baslerstrasse in Allschwil. Credit Suisse had decided to adapt the bank branch in Allschwil to today's more customer-focussed corporate architecture concept, which Blaser Architekten had already implemented last year at the Credit Suisse branch Claraplatz in Basel.

The expansion of the retail space by 130m2 was made possible in connection with the preceding 'Unterdorf' neighbourhood plan procedure. The basic idea of the spatial concept is based on an 'interlocking' of the closed rooms with the open, enlarged customer hall. The hall was visually connected to the newly designed outdoor space by a floor-to-ceiling glass façade. The comb-like basic structure created clearly defined areas that allow customers to perceive the space in its various zones. The transformation of the counter hall into a wide, outward-facing hall changes the impression of the space in the long term. Transparent and light-flooded rooms were created, which form the framework for open, modern communication. The outdoor space was designed by landscape architect Donald Jacob. The bank was refurbished to the Minergie standard.
