Flat Offenburgerstrasse

The property is located in the lively Matthäusquartier near the Rhine. The building was constructed in 1898, is located in Basel's city and village conservation zone and has already been remodelled several times in the past. The client, who previously occupied the top two floors, was able to acquire the 2nd floor below. Blaser Architekten drew up a project for the spatial integration of the additional floor. The main entrance to the flat was moved to the 2nd floor, which now primarily houses the young people's bedrooms. In the area of the former kitchen, an internal connecting staircase leads to the newly created, spacious living/dining area on the 3rd floor. At its centre is the kitchen block, which is open on all sides. The top floor with its access to the large terrace serves as a sleeping and working area for the parents.
