Blaser Architekten have built a pathology centre for the IBRA in the Stücki Park premises they planned and built as part of the ongoing expansion of the Medartis operating and administrative premises. The IBRA - International Bone Research Association is an independent organisation aimed in particular at specialised surgeons and researchers. Its core activities are medical courses at various levels as well as multinational symposia, scholarship programmes and research projects.
The education and training centre has 12 surgical operating units with state-of-the-art radiology technology, which enables up to 80 participants to gain practical experience in pathology at the same time.
We worked with the IBRA Institute in an intensive and enriching dialogue to optimally plan the laboratory, office and social areas and to equip them with the latest technology and equipment so that we could create the best spatial conditions for carrying out advanced and complex medical training courses. The goal was to provide physicians, surgical staff, healthcare professionals and clinical researchers with state-of-the-art facilities where they can learn new surgical procedures, develop innovative medical devices and validate and test the next generation of healthcare advances.
