Alongside the Stücki and DB sites, the 23,000 m2 plot is one of the last contiguous building land reserves in the city of Basel. Based on a study competition won by Blaser Architekten, a laboratory and office building with flexible use in the 'life sciences' sector and higher-ranking businesses was built.

The concept envisaged the realisation of 'Höhenstrasse' as the entrance and communication level. Below this are the delivery area, car park and warehouse, with six laboratory and office floors above. The innovative design of the frontage with a specially developed high-tech membrane over a façade length of 232 metres made the building an eye-catcher.
